In 1982, the Chambord brand was created. The drink was influenced by the raspberry liqueur made in the Loire Valley in the late 1600s during one of his visits to the Château de Chambord, said to have been introduced to Louis XIV. At that time, it was popular for liqueurs and cognac to be enjoyed with elegant meals.
