Since its very modest origins in 1852, Robertson has been home to the most giving people. This is evident in the winery’s sauvignon blanc. The town is named for the Scottish minister, Dr William Robertson, and the hardworking people who look after the wine vineyards greet you with open arms and kind handshakes.By 1941, the village had expanded a little more, and the stone church that the people had erected and that the missionaries had been serving had been abandoned. It was transformed for winemaking and cellaring activities, including everyone from farmers to bottlers in creating wines to share with the world. It created the ideal location for the establishment of Robertson Winery.
